chairman and chief executive officer (CEO), will speak to the investment
community at Raymond James & Associates' 23rd Annual Institutional Investors
Conference on March 6, 2002, in Orlando, Florida.
Mr. Snyder will be among representatives from leading and emerging
companies that are expected to present during the three-day conference. He
will provide an overview of Forgent Networks and its Video Network Platform

Mr. Snyder is an industry veteran who held senior management positions at
Hewlett-Packard, Dell, and Compaq before joining VTEL's board in 1997 and
becoming chairman. He then became CEO in 2001 and led Forgent through its
complete restructuring divestiture of VTEL, and focused the company on video
network management software and professional services. As group general
manager at Hewlett-Packard, Mr. Snyder was responsible for its $3 billion
inkjet printer business, where he created the DeskJet brand. As senior vice
president and general manager at Dell Computer Corporation, Mr. Snyder was
responsible for establishing its successful Internet sales model and operation
of its $3.5 billion America's Region. He was senior vice president of
worldwide sales, marketing, service and support at Compaq, and had a
$20 billion P&L responsibility.
