Ramsay Youth Services, Inc. Announces the Opening of a Substance Abuse Treatment Program in Florida

    CORAL GABLES, Fla., March 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --
Ramsay Youth Services, Inc. (Nasdaq: RYOU) announced today the opening of the
Adolescent Substance Abuse Program (ASAP), a 40-bed moderate risk substance
abuse residential treatment program for boys located in Fort Walton Beach,
Florida.  Ramsay will operate the Adolescent Substance Abuse Program (ASAP)
under contract with the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice.  The contract
has a term of 3 years with a renewal provision for another 3 years.  This
program is expected to generate $1.6 million in annual revenues.
    Luis E. Lamela, President and CEO of Ramsay Youth Services, Inc. stated,

interventions which enable youth to stop their substance abuse and drug
dependency.  The program will also focus on increasing the youth's competency
