John K. Wulff Elected to Sunoco Board of Directors

    PHILADELPHIA, March 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Sunoco, Inc. today
announced that John K. Wulff has been elected to its board of directors,
effective March 8, 2004.  Wulff is currently the non-executive chairman of
Hercules Incorporated.  Wulff was a member of the Financial Accounting
Standards Board for two years and prior to that served as chief financial
officer of Union Carbide.  During his 14 years at Union Carbide, he also
served as vice president and principal accounting officer, as well as
controller.  Wulff was with KPMG and predecessor firms from 1971 until 1987.
He was an audit partner at KPMG and its predecessor firms for 10 years.
