Terry Tsao Named President of SEMI Southeast Asia

    SAN JOSE, Calif., March 5 /PRNewswire/ -- SEMI today announced the
appointment of Terry Tsao to the position of president of SEMI Southeast
Asia effective immediately. Tsao succeeds Eric Tien, president of SEMI
Taiwan who has resigned from SEMI to pursue other interests.
    Tsao assumes full responsibility for the association's programs,
products and services in Singapore and Taiwan. He is responsible for
relationships with SEMI members as well as industry, government and
academia in the regions. Additionally, he supports SEMI international
programs and serves SEMI members from all regions that have interests in
the Singapore and Taiwan markets for technology and materials to
manufacture semiconductors, displays and related electronic products. On an
interim basis, SEMI Executive Vice President Paul Davis will assist Tsao by
managing operations in Singapore.

    Prior to joining SEMI, Tsao was the managing director of International
Data Corporation in Taiwan. Before that, he served as Asia Pacific
Marketing Director for Trend Micro, Inc and held various marketing
positions with Leo Burnett Taiwan, Far Eastone Telecommunications Company,
Ltd. and Ogilvy Advertising. Tsao received a Master of Business
Administration with a focus on Marketing from Baruch College City
University of New York and a Executive Master of Business Administration
with an emphasis on Information Management from National Taiwan University.
