WASHINGTON, March 7 /PRNewswire/ -- National homeland security spending by
the federal government will nearly double from $19.5B in the current fiscal
year to $37.7B in the recently proposed FY 2003 budget, according to
Government Electronics and Information Technology Association (GEIA), a
leading government technology research firm.
Propelled by this data, FOSE 2002, the largest, longest-running and most
comprehensive technology infrastructure event serving the government market is
set to open to record attendance. The event, now in its 26th year, will
attract over 17,000 government and industry attendees to meet with more than
400 leading companies who will demonstrate solutions in homeland security,
e-government, biometrics and IT infrastructure.

pressing homeland security efforts and the Administration's focus on citizen

The security program at FOSE 2002 will include Keynote Speeches by CEO's
of major defense contractors who will discuss security issues from several

Information Sharing; Who Embraces It, Who Rejects It and Where Do We Go from
Here" at 7:30 AM, Wednesday, March 20.
