PENNDOT Announces Traffic Restrictions Along the West End Bridge

    PITTSBURGH, March 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Below is information pertaining to
traffic updates for the Fort Pitt Bridge and Tunnel rehabilitation project
from the Trumbull Corporation.
    Beginning March 11, 2002 the following traffic restrictions will occur on
or near the West End Bridge.  These traffic restrictions will be in effect
through March 29, 2002.

     -- Motorists traveling on Route 65 North will encounter a lane
        restriction near the West End Bridge for the construction of a
        temporary ramp from Route 65 to Chateau Street.

     -- Traveling north across the West End Bridge, motorists will find the
        left lane closed.  Motorists will be permitted to make left turns to
        exit the bridge from a single lane.  Once across the bridge and onto
        the off-ramp to Route 65, motorists will be directed to the on-ramp
        between Juniata Street and Columbus Avenue to reconnect with Route 65.
