Networking Semiconductor Veteran to Lead Session at Embedded Systems

SACRAMENTO, Calif., March 7 /PRNewswire/ -- KeyEye Communications, Inc., a
leader in single-chip 10 gigabit-per-second (10 Gbps) copper-media
transceivers, announced that company co-founder and Vice President of
Strategic Marketing Mike McConnell is scheduled to present a Networking
Systems Design Seminar at the Embedded Systems Conference, March 9-12, San
Francisco Moscone Center.
McConnell's presentation, entitled "10 Gigabit Ethernet Solutions for
Copper," will describe how 10 Gigabit Ethernet over copper can deliver robust,
cost-effective connectivity for bandwidth-hungry data center applications.
The 90-minute tutorial describes the requirements and challenges of
implementing 10 Gigabit Ethernet over copper cabling, followed by descriptions
of 10 Gigabit Ethernet over copper transceiver technology and an update on the
status of 10GBASE-T and other industry initiatives. McConnell's session will
run from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 10.
Mike McConnell has more than 21 years of experience in the communications
industry, with most of career dedicated to integrated circuits for networking
connectivity. Throughout his career McConnell has been an active contributor
to IEEE, and various other industry consortiums and international standards
committees. McConnell is now an active participant in defining the IEEE's
802.3an 10GBASE-T standard. Prior to co-founding KeyEye Communications,
McConnell was Director of Business Development & Strategic Marketing at Intel.
McConnell previously served in various senior level technical and marketing
positions.
