HARTSVILLE, S.C., March 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Sonoco (NYSE: SON)
will increase prices for its paper-based tubes and cores and related

"This increase, which is incremental to our recent 8 percent increase
effective March 1, is necessary to counter the effect of recent additional
price increases by producers of uncoated, recycled paperboard. We are
continuing to closely monitor the board supply market and will make
additional pricing adjustments as required," said Colyer.
