MADISON HEIGHTS, Mich., March 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Henkel Technologies
recently received the Decoma International Inc. President's Award for 2003
honoring innovations that lower costs while improving productivity and quality
at two key Decoma facilities. The award was presented to Chuck Evans, vice
president of Henkel Technologies automotive components group, on Feb. 4, 2004
by Al Power, CEO of Decoma.
"Henkel Technologies is proud to partner with Decoma's Norplas and Nascote
operations to help raise efficiency and quality without increasing costs,"
said Evans. "We appreciate this honor, but it certainly doesn't mean we will
rest on past accomplishments. Our goal is to continue proactively developing
new, more effective applications that enable our customer to reach higher
levels of success."
Henkel Technologies was nominated by Decoma's Norplas and Nascote
facilities for separate technologies that help ensure production lines
continue running efficiently.
Norplas, which produces plastic automotive exterior parts, uses Henkel
Technologies' solvent borne version of Parcosol(R) to quickly and effectively
clean the exterior and interior of paint dispensing equipment.
The Nascote facility also produces automotive exterior components. The
operation relies on Henkel Technologies' products to clean plastics before
painting and uses a Henkel Technologies' system that effectively handles paint
overspray, turning the fluid waste into a solid for easier disposal.
The President's Award is part of Decoma's supplier development program
established in 1995. The program rates suppliers on a number of key issues
related to cost, customer service, on-time delivery, materials, technology and
quality.
