DEARBORN, MI USA
DEARBORN, Mich., March 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- In keeping with its
strong reputation for innovation and integration expertise, Visteon
Corporation (NYSE: VC) wins the 2004 PACE (Premier Automotive Suppliers'
Contribution to Excellence) Award in the Product category. Visteon's Long
Life Filtration, zero-maintenance air filter, received this prestigious
industry award at the 10th annual Automotive News PACE Awards ceremonies held
March 8, 2004 at the Detroit Opera House.

Visteon's Long Life Filtration System won the award, while the
corporation's TACNET, an integrated tactical network that centralizes the
command and control of multiple electronic systems for emergency response
teams, received honorable mention.
Visteon's Long Life Filtration System is an innovative, patented system
and the only Tier I zero-maintenance long-life filter. This air induction
system contains a reticulated foam filter that traps over 300 grams of dust,
salt, moisture and other corrosives. It delivers a 150,000- to 200,000-mile
filter life, virtually eliminating the need for replacement filters.
This unique system solution reduces manufacturer warranty costs associated
with air filter service and can save consumers as much as $150 or more over
the life of the vehicle. In addition, because this system doesn't require
regular maintenance attention, there is a great deal of flexibility in
packaging the system within the vehicle. The entire air induction system
could even be placed in another section of the vehicle, freeing up valuable
space near the engine.
"We are truly honored to be a PACE award winner. We believe we are
leaders in delivering game-changing products for our customers and consumers,"
said Peter J. Pestillo, chairman and chief executive officer of Visteon
Corporation. "To help our customers change the playing field, we apply our
extensive consumer knowledge and customer-focused value propositions to
deliver innovation and to integrate complex systems."
The Automotive News PACE Award recognizes supplier innovation in process
and product. The awards are designed to recognize companies in the automotive
industry that have delivered game-changing innovation to meet the needs of OEM
customers and consumers. This is the second time in the last three years that
Visteon innovations have been among the finalists or award winners for this
prestigious industry award.
Visteon Corporation is a leading full-service supplier that delivers
consumer-driven technology solutions to automotive manufacturers worldwide and
through multiple channels within the global automotive aftermarket. Visteon
has approximately 72,000 employees and a global delivery system of more than
180 technical, manufacturing, sales, and service facilities located in 25
