PRN International Names Mexico/Caribbean Manager

MIAMI, March 10 /PRNewswire/ -- PRN International today announced it has
named Silvia Stanforth to the position of manager of the Mexico/Caribbean
Region, expanding the PR Newswire division's ability to provide personalized
customer service in Latin America.
Stanforth will be responsible for all sales and marketing strategies and
activities in the region from PRNI's Latin America Headquarters in Miami. Her
primary focus will be assisting public companies whose stock trade on the
U.S., Mexican and Caribbean exchanges with disclosure requirements and with
broadening the distribution of their information to new investor audiences.
"Silvia's knowledge of the Latin American markets has contributed greatly
to the development of enhanced newslines in Latin America in addition to
useful products and services for both our clients and the media we serve in
the region," said Patricia Canary, PRNI's director of Latin America. "The new
position will allow her to augment our ability to provide personal attention
to the Mexico/ Caribbean region."
Stanforth joined PRN as an assistant editor in October 1989 and became
manager of Hispanic & Latin America Services in 1993. She recently was named
to the Board of Directors of the National Hispanic Corporate Council in
recognition of her contributions to this organization.
"PR Newswire and its international division have been pioneers in
providing advanced communications technology to companies in the United States
and Europe. I am looking forward to making these services available in Mexico
and the Caribbean," Stanforth said. "Many companies in the region are not
aware of the new tools they can use, including NEWSdesk."
NEWSdesk International of the U.K., recently acquired by PRN, is a
powerful news release retrieval and tracking system on the Internet. Many
companies around the world have made NEWSdesk, http://www.newsdesk.com, part
of their public relations programs because it provides measurement of Internet
activities for the first time for PR professionals.
Stanforth is a graduate of Florida International University with a
bachelor's degree in communications. She is fluent in English, Spanish and
Portuguese.
PRN International, a division of PR Newswire, has created an extensive
global network to distribute fully translated, full-text news releases to the
media and financial community in only minutes. PRNI's bureaus in London,
Paris, Frankfurt, Sao Paulo and Hong Kong allow international companies to
easily reach investors and the media beyond their national borders. PRNI's
global web site, http://www.prninternational.com, offers translations of
English-language news releases in French, Spanish and Portuguese and free
information about international public relations in five languages.
