Charles Pizzo to Speak to Fort Worth IABC

FORT WORTH, Texas, March 10 /PRNewswire/ -- The Fort Worth Chapter of
International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) has announced that
former IABC Board Chairman Charles Pizzo will speak at the April 5 luncheon on
"25 tips and tricks that draw reporters to your Web site."
A bad Web site press page can cause a newsworthy story to be killed. If
the navigation is confusing, reporters can't find the content they need. Most
net newsrooms are wordy and don't provide the basic facts a reporter on
deadline requires. The key to failure is to let a non-journalist -- like your
boss -- control section for the media. Charles will show you how to give
reporters what they want, how they want it, and when they want it.

     You'll learn:
     - To avoid design disasters that reporters hate
     - Tips and tricks proven to succeed
     - How to be a resource for reporters -- and keep them coming back

Charles Pizzo / Louisiana, USA, has been studying media relations for
nearly a decade. He is a New Orleans-based expert and contributor to numerous
Ragan publications. He has been quoted in Melcrum's Business Communicator, PR
News, PR Canada and PR Week Asia. Pizzo is a former chairman of both IABC and
its Research Foundation.
The luncheon meeting will be held April 5 from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm at the
Petroleum Club, Carter-Burgess Plaza, 777 Main Street. 39th Floor. Lunch
cost for IABC members is $20 and $25 for nonmembers. RSVP to Julie Trowbridge
at Trowbridgeja@c-b.com by April 1.
