MINNEAPOLIS, March 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --
Health Fitness Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: HFIT), one of the leading
providers of corporate health, fitness recreation, and occupational health
services, has named the American Council on Exercise (ACE), America's largest
nonprofit fitness certifying organization, their preferred certification
organization.
Through this alliance, Health Fitness Corporation becomes a provider of
ACE Exam Preparation and Practical Training through the ACE Club Practical
Training Program. Fitness professionals working for Health Fitness
Corporation will become ACE certified. This program brings quality education
and certification to the health fitness staff and positions HFC as a market
leader and an educational resource for fitness professionals and the public.
"ACE brings Health Fitness Corporation a program that offers a consistent,
high level of education and training to our fitness professionals where they
work and live," said Sarah Nichols, director of program development, HFC.
"The program will prepare them to earn one or more of the four ACE
professional certifications, provide them a solid career path, and will aid
HFC in retaining the best and brightest staff."
ACE Faculty will train HFC health fitness professionals as personal
trainers and group fitness instructors. ACE will also provide continuing
education on business development skills, exercise techniques, and practical
training programs. As the alliance progresses, HFC professionals can become
ACE Master Practical Trainers, allowing them to train fellow professionals.
"Training and education consistently rank at the top of the wish list for
both employers and employees. However, investing in employee training and
continued education for everyone in the organization is often difficult," said
Ken Germano, executive director of ACE. "Together with Health Fitness
Corporation we have created a win-win situation."
