KCS Energy Schedules Conference Call To Discuss Fourth Quarter and Year-End 2000 Financial Results

    HOUSTON, March 12 /PRNewswire/ -- KCS Energy, Inc. (NYSE: KCS) announced
today that it will release fourth quarter and year-end financial results for
the period ended December 31, 2000 on Thursday, March 15, 2001.  Management
will conduct a conference call to review the Company's financial and operating
results.
    The conference call is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. ET on Thursday, March 15,
