NXN Software Nears the $1 Million Mark With Successes in Growing Canadian Games Market

NXN alienbrain Is Sold Into Key Canadian Entertainment Studios, EA Canada,
Ubi Soft, A2M and Digital Fiction

LOS ANGELES, March 12 /PRNewswire/ -- NXN Software, the leading supplier
of Digital Production Management (DPM) systems for the interactive
entertainment, animation and new media industries, has established its DPM
software NXN alienbrain(R) in the emerging high-tech Canadian territories with
recent sales to key customers, including EA Canada, Ubi Soft Entertainment,
Artificial Mind and Movement (A2M) and Digital Fiction.
"Canada is home to some of the leading game developers and publishers who
are facing the challenges of today's competitive global marketplace," said
Jason Della Rocca, program director for the International Game Developers
Association. "Consistently producing high-quality games, on time and on
budget, must be a continual target in order to stay on top."
With an influx of digital entertainment companies making their research
and development headquarters north of the border, the demand for tools such as
NXN alienbrain to ensure on-time and on-budget projects has risen. The list
of developers and publishers that have recently purchased NXN alienbrain to
manage large scale projects includes two of the world's largest game
developers and publishers, Electronic Arts Canada and Ubi Soft, as well as
A2M, best known for their Monsters, Inc. and Grinch titles, and Digital
Fiction, who recently launched their hit title Race Fever(TM).
"We have been extremely impressed by the quality of game developers in the
Canadian market," said Gregor vom Scheidt, chief executive officer of NXN
Software. "Their professionalism has translated into a willingness to work
with the most cutting-edge tools, like NXN alienbrain, in order to deliver the
high-quality games to the global entertainment market."
The NXN alienbrain DPM system helps development teams streamline their
projects by simplifying project management, improving workflow and providing
secure and easy access to project content. Just recently, NXN announced a
line-up of product extensions for NXN alienbrain that enhance project and
studio management as well as bug-tracking functionality.
Complete information and product demonstrations will be available in NXN's
booth #1626 at this year's Game Developers Conference at the San Jose
Convention Center, from March 21-23, 2002.
