Affinity Program Services Provide Additional Mobile Content Customer
Relationship Management (CRM) Tools for Carriers and Publishers
SAN DIEGO, March 14 /PRNewswire/ -- M7 Networks Inc. (http://www.m7networks.com),
a leading trusted partner and enabler of advanced wireless services, today
announced the release of its new M7 Loyalty Program Module. Initially
targeted at mobile game communities, this new offering increases the breadth
of functionality and services to its already popular Application Community
Platform (ACP).
Similar to traditional online loyalty programs, the new tracking
technology enables mobile community sponsors to offer points-based, affinity
marketing programs designed to identify, target and reward high-value data
services customers. The more end users interact with the mobile community,
the more points they earn. Such interactions include establishing and editing
profile information, adding friends to 'buddy lists,' rating, reviewing and
recommending content. Depending on the preference of the community sponsor,
points can be redeemed for discounts or goods.
"The launch of the M7 Loyalty Program Module adds another valuable tool to
our mobile community services," said William Erickson, president and CEO of M7
Networks. "In the rapidly evolving wireless marketplace, carriers will find
data product differentiation increasingly difficult. With carriers rolling
out 3G networks, the goal for carriers and publishers is evolving from
customer acquisition based on data service differentiation to subscriber
retention and driving incremental revenue. Affinity programs are another step
in turning carriers into 'smart-retailers.'"
As the newest addition to M7's Application Community Platform, the M7
Loyalty Program Module extends the collection and real-time reporting of
valuable subscriber usage information across mobile data services. In
addition to using the M7 Loyalty Module to identify, retain and reward loyal
customers, carriers can:
* Influence and change customer behavior by rewarding profitable
actions;
* Motivate members to provide valuable feedback so they can anticipate
customers' needs and improve data products;
* Increase data product distribution through viral marketing and
super-distribution; and
* Gain critical insight into mobile marketing programs based on customer
behavior and measurement.
"The Application Community Platform provides the foundation for customer
segmentation and allows the carrier to understand the behavior of its customer
base across data services," said David Buckley, CTO of M7 Networks. "Combined
with the ACP, the Loyalty Module enables programs to be designed around
individuals and personalized with the objective of establishing a long-term
relationship. According to Bain & Company, a five-percentage-point increase
in customer retention yields a 75 percent increase in customer net present
value. In other words, loyal customers can return huge dividends."
"With the Loyalty Program Module, carriers and publishers alike will be
able to better understand end-user preference, allowing for continually
evolving applications and strategic viral marketing," said Mark Munoz, COO of
M7 Networks. "For the consumer, the ACP is a carrier-branded community that
promotes personalization, community-centric activities such as recommendations
to other members and enhanced product discovery."
The Loyalty Program Module is a turnkey solution for the carrier and
publisher and is data type agnostic, which allows for programs across all
mobile data services, from games to ringtones to music and more.
