Spy Phones, e-Voting, Mobile Identity Management, Petabyte Server Among New Technologies at FOSE 2005, April 5-7 in Washington, DC

WASHINGTON, March 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Over 150 new technology products will
be introduced at FOSE 2005, the government's largest gathering of information
technology professionals. Some 500 exhibitors will attract 20,000 federal
high tech buyers along with 5,000 industry professionals to learn about the
latest technologies at FOSE 2005 on April 5-7 at the Washington DC Convention
Center.
"Industry has responded rapidly to the federal government's burgeoning
need for innovative technology solutions, and we will be showing off their new
products at FOSE," said Lorenz Hassenstein, vice president of PostNewsweek
Tech Media. "Leading corporations such as Accenture, Apple, Cisco, HP, IBM,
Lockheed Martin, Microsoft and hundreds of other firms, small and large, are
introducing new ways for government to operate more efficiently, safeguard our
country, and move our national agenda forward."

    * Comfidex Corporation of New York, New York will introduce a secure, Web-
based e-voting system that provides paper-based audit trails for
recounts while preserving the anonymity of both the vote and the voter.
VoteFiler is implemented using commodity PCs, and is designed to
transparently coexist with traditional voting systems so that it may be
adopted at a pace acceptable to the voting public.

    * Cornell Theory Center of Ithaca, New York will tout a computer system to
store and manipulate massive amounts of data. Initially, the system
will support three data-intensive research projects in astronomy,
computer graphics and the Internet. The system will eventually hold 1
petabyte of data on an array of over 1,000 hard disk drives. (A
petabyte is 1,000 terabytes; it is estimated that the entire contents of
the Library of Congress could be stored in about 10 terabytes.) Cornell
Theory Center provides high performance solutions to government and
      faculty at Cornell University.

    * Corrent Corporation of Tempe, AZ will host appliances to protect smaller
networks against security breaches and attacks. Based on a new
relationship with a major security software company, these appliances
provide high-performance protection at a price that smaller
      organizations and agencies can afford.

    * eTelemetry of Annapolis, Maryland will announce their Locate911 for use
in large government or commercial buildings. The system provides E911
systems with real-time Voice over Internet Protocol phone locations to
expedite emergency response times and comply with regulations.

    * HP of Palo Alto, California will present a number of scalable identity
management and mobility solutions, as well as the highly regarded HP
Digital Pen solution. In addition, HP will exhibit lightweight tablet
computers that accept handwritten inputs for immediate processing, as
well as new workstation, server and storage offerings.

    * Meganet Corporation of Los Angeles, California will demonstrate their 3-
ounce Spy Phone that permits concealed eavesdropping, a Cell Phone
Interceptor that decrypts on the fly, and a Cell Phone Jammer in hand-
held as well as rack mountable versions.

    * MPC Computers of Nampa, Idaho will showcase a series of notebook
computers developed specifically for government that features multi-
level security and an integrated Smart Card reader and biometric
      fingerprint scanner.

    * Puredepth of Auckland, New Zealand and Redwood Shores, CA will unveil
computer displays that have two LCD panels layered, one over the other,
thus producing a crystal clear 3D effect on a single monitor.
Applications range widely from viewing superimposed MRI and CAT scans of
a tumor to defense and geospatial work to intensive graphic design.

    * Riso, Inc. of Danvers, Massachusetts will have on hand the new color
HC5000 inkjet printer, copier, and scanner. Printing at 105 pages per
minute full color, monthly volumes of 250,000 pages are easily
achievable at a running cost of $.03 per page.

    * User Centric, Inc. of Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois will exhibit an
unobtrusive eye tracking product for recording and analyzing where users
are and are not looking, in what order, and for how long when accessing
web pages or other products. The results can be depicted in heat maps
that help web site developers increase the acceptance and usability of
      web pages.
