                  Maximize Mobile Communication Capabilities

NEW ORLEANS, CTIA Wireless 2003, March 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Siemens
Information and Communication Mobile today announced the availability of the
SX1 mobile phone for U.S. consumers in the third quarter of 2003. The SX1
mobile phone is designed for demanding mobile phone users who require
international coverage, unique design and a full suite of features and
applications using a variety of technology platforms.

The SX1 mobile phone has strips of keys built into each side of the phone,
instead of an ordinary keypad, to give it a sleek shape. This design
innovation also shifts the large, 64,000-color high-resolution screen into the
center of the device without compromising overall size, as the SX1 handset
only weighs about 4 ounces. The central navigation keys are located below the
screen. This helps make the features easy to navigate when a consumer is
holding the phone in the usual "portrait" position or, if the application
supports it, in "landscape" position for gaming applications or to use the
full-screen viewfinder while in camera mode.
The SX1 handset is a triple band 900/1800/1900 MHz Global System for
Mobile communication (GSM(TM)) phone that can be used internationally. It
delivers a number of business and entertainment features and applications,
including: built-in video player, camcorder, music player and FM radio; rich,
unlimited gaming supported by Series 60 Platform or wireless Java(TM)
applications; and a full set of business applications directly comparable to a
normal PDA, such as synchronization of calendar entries, addresses, tasks and
notes using wireless cable/cradle connections. Consumers can also access up
to the minute audio and video news, sports and entertainment with the SX1's
RealOne(TM) Mobile Player from RealNetworks.
"By combining the latest entertainment and business technology, the SX1
mobile phone is ideal for consumers who work hard and play harder," said Bernt
Klein, senior vice president and general manager of the Mobile Phones unit,
North American region, Siemens Information and Communication Mobile LLC. "If
you're a globetrotting professional or technology aficionado, the SX1 mobile
phone is the perfect communication management tool to meet both business and
leisure time requirements."
Built on the open platform Symbian OS(TM), the SX1 mobile phone features a
tailored Siemens version of the Series 60 interface and application platform.
This enables ease of use and also lets consumers personalize their phones with
a large selection of downloadable content and applications.

    Additional Features
The SX1 mobile phone comes standard with a battery charger and Li-Polymer
1000 mAh battery that provides more than four hours of talk time* and 200
