Serono Launches www.Seronofertility.com

New website provides comprehensive information and support to people who are
                              trying to conceive

ROCKLAND, Mass., March 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Serono, Inc. announced today the
launch of seronofertility.com, a newly designed website for people who are
concerned about their fertility health. Designed specifically for US
residents, the website provides clear, customized information about the causes
and treatment of infertility.
"We created seronofertility.com to support individuals at every stage of
the patient journey, whether they're just beginning to learn about infertility
or they're undergoing treatment," says Bharat Tewarie, MD, Executive Vice
President, Reproductive Health, Serono, Inc. "This site is part of Serono,
Inc.'s commitment to continually improve fertility health by developing
patient-friendly products and services."
Seronofertility.com provides people with a full range of information to
address their various concerns about fertility, including a guide to finding
infertility treatment centers by zip code, questions to ask a doctor about
fertility health, fertility updates by email and information about using
Serono products. The website also includes downloadable brochures that cover
emotional aspects of infertility, financial issues, male factor infertility
and procedures such as in vitro fertilization.
"People struggling to conceive can feel isolated and overwhelmed. They
don't know where to turn -- so they all too often suffer in silence," says Dr.
Kaylen Silverberg, Medical Director at Texas Fertility Center in Austin.
"I've found that many patients go online because infertility is such a
personal topic, and they want to seek out information that is specific to
their issues at their convenience. This website is a good source of
information for anyone interested in learning more about fertility health."
Infertility is defined as the inability to achieve pregnancy after one
year of regular, unprotected intercourse (six months if the woman is over 35).
It affects about 6.1 million Americans, which represents about 10 percent of
couples in their childbearing years. About 70% of patients who are treated
succeed in having children.
