New Consumer Bluetooth Headsets Work Virtually Seamlessly With Bluetooth
                     Capable Wireless Phones by Motorola

COPENHAGEN, Denmark, and NASHUA, N.H., March 20 /PRNewswire/ -- GN Netcom
and Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT) today announced an OEM alliance that has
produced one of the industry's first market-ready mobile wireless headsets for
consumers. The Motorola version of the new GN Netcom second generation
headset with Bluetooth wireless technology is smaller than two inches in
diameter, weighs less than 26 grams, features up to four hours talk and one
week standby time, and operates within a 30-foot range. The two companies
developed the product in tandem, combining expertise from GN Netcom in headset
ergonomics and acoustics, and renowned wireless connectivity from Motorola,
creating virtually seamless headset-to-handset compatibility. Under the terms
of the agreement, the two companies will also work together to develop and
market communications devices with Bluetooth wireless technology for the
future.

Headsets are expected to be available from Motorola in the second half of
2001. The sleek new headsets will feature award winning Motorola industrial
design, easy-to-use on/off and volume buttons and a selection of
interchangeable color face plates that complement Motorola's wireless phone
models.
GN Netcom will retain the rights to its proprietary headset technology and
plans to market the product independently, through other OEM partners, and
under its own JABRA retail brand, beginning in fall 2001.
GN Netcom has been an industry leader in the development of headset
devices using Bluetooth wireless technology. The Danish technology company
introduced the GN 9000 BT, the industry's first Bluetooth certified wireless
headset for the professional market in September 2000, and now follows with
this exciting second generation product. .
"We have been committed to Bluetooth wireless technology from the start,"
said Niels B. Christiansen, president and CEO of GN Netcom. "Our alliance
with a market leader like Motorola ensures that we can continue to deliver the
most advanced, fully-tested wireless communications solutions to consumers."
Motorola's portfolio of products with Bluetooth wireless technology is
extensive. Motorola was first to market commercially with its Bluetooth
PCMCIA cards (available to consumers through OEM suppliers) that provide
wireless connectivity between PC's and other devices with Bluetooth wireless
technology. Motorola is also one of the first to deliver Bluetooth
connectivity in a wireless phone with the 270c wireless phone, which is
expected to start shipping at the end of this month.
"Bluetooth wireless technology will eliminate the tangle of wires," said
Ron Garriques, corporate vice president and general manager of Worldwide
Product Line Management for Motorola's Personal Communications Sector. "Our
solutions are driven to provide consumers with the best possible experience.
By working together and sharing our expertise and knowledge, Motorola and GN
Netcom will be able to develop and deliver compelling solutions to consumers
and speed up the time to market for new products."
GN Netcom and Motorola will hold joint press meetings to discuss their
alliance and showcase their first commercial products to come out of this
venture at the CTIA Show, March 20-22, in Las Vegas and GN Netcom will host
press meetings at the CeBIT exhibition, March 22-28, in Hanover, Germany.
Both companies will also display the new headset with Bluetooth wireless
technology at their individual booths in Las Vegas (at JABRA booth 5449, at
Motorola booth 3521 and at the Bluetooth pavilion booth 8167F) and Hanover (at
the GN Netcom stand, Hall 17, stand B08 and at the JABRA stand, Hall 24, stand
32 and at the Motorola stand). For more information, please contact: Liz
