Airline Releases Another Round of Fare Reductions to 17 Markets To/From the
                             Paris of the South

    TEMPE, Ariz., March 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- US Airways (NYSE: LCC)
sets off another round of its popular fare reductions by lowering fares in
Asheville, N.C., to 17 popular destinations. Customers will see walkup
fares reduced by up to 51 percent.

    This latest round of price cuts is part of a fare reduction program
that the new US Airways commenced after its merger with America West.
Destinations seeing significant reductions to and from Asheville include
Baltimore, Md. and New Orleans, La. with walkup fares reduced 51 and 45
percent respectively. Fares are available immediately and can be booked at
http://www.usairways.com, by calling 800-428-4322 or through a travel agent.
    "The fare reductions that we're known for generate both a positive
response from customers and a positive revenue impact for the airline,"
said Tom Trenga, vice president, revenue management for US Airways. "We're
very pleased to bring the citizens of Asheville lower fares to several
markets across the country. For those looking for a new experience,

    With this wave of fare reductions, US Airways has dramatically lowered
prices in more than 1,100 markets. Below is a sample list of 10 markets
that will see fare reductions to and from Asheville, N.C. Customers can
also enjoy reduced fares in the following markets: Atlanta, Bangor, Me.,
Dallas/Fort Worth, Detroit, Houston, Jackson, Miss. and Tallahassee, Fla.
The sample walkup fares below are based on a one-way purchase. A round trip
purchase may be required. The sample advance purchase fare is also based on
a one-way purchase, and a roundtrip purchase may be required.
