APC Hailed by Leading Technology Publications for Partner Programs

    WEST KINGSTON, R.I., March 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- American Power
Conversion (Nasdaq: APCC) (APC), a leading global provider of end-to-end
infrastructure availability solutions, today was recognized by CMP Media's
VARBusiness and GovernmentVAR magazines as one of North America's top
information-technology (IT) vendors in terms of the partnership programs it
offers to solution providers that sell its products and services to end users.
This is the third consecutive year that VARBusiness magazine's annual program
guide has acknowledged APC for the commitment and strength of its programs for
IT integrators, resellers and consultants. In addition, APC has received the
prominent five-star recognition in GovernmentVAR magazine's first annual
program guide.

APC was one of more than 250 vendor-program entries reviewed for the
VARBusiness program evaluation. Only the top 70 companies received the
coveted five-star rating in the magazine's 12th annual Partner Programs Guide
survey. The guide appeared in the March 20, 2006, issue of VARBusiness.
GovernmentVAR magazine reviewed more than 100 vendor programs during the
past year and only awarded the coveted five-star rating to the top 25
companies. The guide appeared in the March 20, 2006 issue of GovernmentVAR
magazine.
"We applaud vendors like APC for demonstrating best practices and for the
leadership roles they have achieved within the IT distribution channel," says
VARBusiness and GovernmentVAR Editor Lawrence M. Walsh.
"We are delighted that VARBusiness and GovernmentVAR chose to recognize
the strength of APC's channel programs with these awards," said Aaron Davis,
APC's vice president, worldwide marketing and communications. "With our
enhanced partner programs and a new deal registration program, coupled with
the advancements in our InfraStruXure(R) power and cooling architecture, it
has opened up several new areas of opportunity for our channel partners."
