Agitar Wins 2006 Software Development Magazine Productivity Award

Agitator Recognized as the Leading Software Quality Automation Technology,
                       Winning Record Number of Awards

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., March 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Agitar Software, the
leader in enterprise developer testing, today announced that Agitator(R) and
Agitar Management Dashboard received the Software Development Magazine
Productivity award this year.
In just three years, Agitar has won nearly all the major software
development tools awards. In addition, it is the only software development
product to ever win The Wall Street Journal's Technology Innovation awards.
The Agitator product is the only software development product to be
awarded the prestigious JavaOne Duke. Last year, Software Development
Magazine also honored the technology, giving it top honors with the JOLT award
for the automated test tools category.
"Agitar is absolutely unique in winning so many industry awards in record
time," said Agitar CEO Jerry Rudisin. "This unprecedented level of recognition
for a company focused on improving software development validates our
technology and value in the market. But the recognition that matters most is
customer adoption and satisfaction with our solution. This award backs up what
our customers are experiencing and reinforces the notion that big improvements
in software quality and development productivity can deliver dramatic business
benefits."
Most recently, InfoWorld Magazine's editors reviewed Agitator, rating it
as an "excellent" software quality tool. To read the full review, go to

"With the competition getting tougher each year, Agitar's Agitator
technology is still ahead of the curve," said Rosalyn Lum, technical editor
for Dr. Dobb's Journal. "You simply point it at your code, a method, class or
complete project, and let it go. It's automation like this that is speeding
adoption of developer testing." As one judge puts it, "Agitator is still one
of the best code testing tools with nice new additions for different domains,
like using Hibernate or J2EE."
Agitar's technology continues to attract the attention of leading
business, technology and industry organizations because of its ability to
eliminate most of the manual work required to unit test software as it's
written. The result is that customers not only build software at much lower
cost, but they are able to fully test each unit as it is created. With this
approach, customers have measured a 2x - 5x increase in new code per developer
per day. They've also repeatedly documented 90 percent reductions in the
number of bugs that survive development to QA, making QA much more effective
and enabling shorter release cycles.
Agitar and its Agitator technology have also earned best technology awards
from eWeek and SDTimes, among others. Coordinated by the editors of Software
Development Magazine, the JOLT awards pay tribute to those products, books and
web sites that have "jolted" the industry and helped make developers' jobs
easier. The JOLT and productivity winners were announced last week at a
ceremony held at SDWest 2006 in Santa Clara, Calif.
