"APC's InfraStruXure continues to evolve to keep pace with current issues
such as co-locating data distribution, increases in power runtime and future
challenges resulting from rapidly refreshing new IT technologies," said Dwight
Sperry, APC's vice president of Enterprise Systems and Business Networks.
"APC's ongoing investment in research and development enables us to continue
offering innovative solutions to companies that help them maintain a highly
available NCPI."
InfraStruXure Power Generation System
APC's InfraStruXure Power Generation System improves availability by
increasing runtime from minutes to days by providing longer runtime backup for
data centers. This power generation system includes an integrated
distribution panel and automatic transfer switch (ATS) with a standby power
generator. The Smart Distribution Panel with ATS, in addition to the existing
250 A (208 and 480 V) size, is now available in North America in both 400 A
(208 and 480 V) and 800 A (208 V). Complementing the Smart Distribution Panel
with ATS, the InfraStruXure Power Generator is now available in North America
in 125kW (208 V) and 200kW (208 and 480 V) models. Pricing depends on the
details of the configuration.
Proactive management tools improve availability as well by identifying
potential problems before they occur and offer the ability to monitor and
control your system anywhere you have network access. The system's pre-
configured, integrated design minimizes one-time engineering costs and allows
APC to provide the solution faster and at a lower total-cost-of-ownership than
equivalent solutions.
InfraStruXure Rack Integration Kits
With the increasing trend of co-locating data distribution and premise
wiring applications with server applications, APC's new Rack Integration Kits
improve agility by allowing easy integration of two-post and other racks into
existing InfraStruXure systems. These kits are ideal for environments that
have layout challenges, are difficult to integrate into existing systems or
where trough systems may not exist. The product offering includes ladder
brackets and clamp kits to allow customers to connect ladders to walls,
ceilings, other ladders and two-post and other racks. The Rack Integration
Kits also work well in any size data center or server room where trough
systems may not exist. APC's Rack Integration Kits are available in North
America starting at $39.99.
Ethernet Switches
APC's Ethernet Switches are InfraStruXure components that address
connectivity need and reduce the total-cost-of-ownership by providing rapid
data transmission at cost-effective prices. Three new models give
InfraStruXure users store and forward options, auto negotiation, flow control,
fixed mini GBIC ports and per-port LED status. The Ethernet switches are
available worldwide. The estimated resale price in North America is $269.99.
