EVANSVILLE, Ind., March 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Shoe Carnival, Inc.

announced it has appointed former Disney marketing executive David Kuhnlein,
39, to the newly created position of vice president of marketing. According
to Mark L. Lemond, president and chief executive officer, Kuhnlein will
oversee all advertising, public relations and promotions for the company.
A 16-year veteran with Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, FL, Kuhnlein
was responsible for major promotions and public relations events for Walt
Disney Attractions, Disney's worldwide theme park operating arm. Prior to
that, he was the first brand manager at Disney-MGM Studios and held various
marketing positions.
Kuhnlein was a driving force behind some of Walt Disney World's more
notable promotional and public relations events. He was producer of the "I'm
Going To Disney World" advertising and public relations campaigns and created
a pre-launch event in Manhattan's Central Park for Disney's Animal Kingdom
theme park, an event that successfully opened Disney's fourth Florida theme
park. In addition, he spent two years with an advertising agency overseeing
400 corporate- and franchise-owned Pizza Hut restaurants.
