'ON AIR w/RYAN SEACREST' Proves That Viewers Come First

    LOS ANGELES, March 24 /PRNewswire/ -- In this day of heightened
sensitivity towards indecency, Ryan Seacrest proves that LIVE television can
and should be responsible.
    On yesterday's "ON AIR w/ RYAN SEACREST" (syndicated-check local
listings), Seacrest invited "America's Next Top Model" judge Janice Dickinson
to appear, only to have the interview slant immediately to the obscene.
Touted as the "first" supermodel, Dickinson took this LIVE television
appearance to the extreme with unbecoming language and sexual gestures, not
fit for Seacrest's audience.
    "We are not afraid to walk the line ....but we don't want to cross it,"
Seacrest said.  "I want a show that's suitable for the entire family to watch,
which is why I made the conscious decision to cut to commercial and not
continue Ms. Dickinson's interview."
    "ON AIR" has been on a seven-second delay since the show launched on
January 12, 04, but had never been instituted before yesterday's show.  The
show's website was inundated with thousands of e-mails in support from the
public on the show's decision to cut the interview short.
