WEST KINGSTON, R.I., March 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- American Power
Conversion (Nasdaq: APCC) (APC), a leading global provider of high
availability systems for network-critical physical infrastructure (NCPI),
today announced the appointment of Dave Johnson to the newly created role of
vice president, the Americas. In this role, Dave's responsibilities will
include sales and marketing as well as service delivery for North and Latin
America.

Dave has more than a decade of experience at APC. He most recently served
as general manager of APC's Rack Systems division where he was integrally
involved in developing and driving InfraStruXure(R) product marketing and
sales. In addition, Dave has held multiple sales management and product
management positions at APC. Prior to joining APC, Dave began his career with
GE.
Additionally, Tom Goldman, APC's vice president, global sales, has left
the company to pursue other interests. The company has no current plans to
fill the position of vice president, global sales.
