Australia, Northern Ireland, UK, Canada and Korea Bring Native Technology to FOSE 2005, April 5-7 in Washington, DC

    WASHINGTON, March 25 /PRNewswire/ -- The United States government's search
for technology innovation extends worldwide, and companies from around the
globe are converging at FOSE 2005 to crack the US Federal and Defense market.
The annual technology event will attract 20,000 federal high tech buyers along
with 5,000 industry professionals to explore these products from 500 other
companies at FOSE 2005 on April 5-7 at the Washington DC Convention Center.
    "Trade agreements with a variety of countries have made the United States
a vibrant market for international firms," said Lorenz Hassenstein, vice

arms to friendly countries to get their hands on unique products being
developed outside our borders.  We'll have scores of tech firms from around
the world exhibiting at FOSE."

    Australia -- The Australian Pavilion at FOSE will host seven companies
exhibiting leading edge technology.  With the newly implemented Australia-USA
Free Trade Agreement, the US government can tap unique solutions being
developed by Australia's entrepreneurial firms.  The geography of Australia,
with wide expanses between population centers, extensive coastlines and
isolated communities, has helped spawn an extremely creative technology
community.  Australian companies will demonstrate e-government solutions,
intelligent transportation systems as well as products to enhance port
security, while promulgating partnership and prosperity between Australia and
the United States.  Firms exhibiting at FOSE include Hardcat Pty Ltd,
Aerosonde, Hide-Away Safes/Detection Security Systems, Tenix, Tower Software,
Quickcomm Software Solutions Inc., Gesix Software Pty Ltd, and Sparx Systems,
Pty Ltd.

    Canada -- The North American Free Trade Agreement has opened the borders
between the US and Canada, resulting in trade volumes of $1.2 billion each
day.  Canada has significant representation with exhibitors including: Metex,
a provider of migration solutions; Memory Experts Inc., debuting Stealth, an
encryption engine with the ability to move seamlessly from one desktop to
another; and Valt.X Technologies showing products that facilitate remote
management of computers even if the operating system is completely disabled.
Several larger companies will also be showcased:  XWave, a large systems
integrator from Canada; Spotwave Wireless which optimizes cellular signal
strength in buildings; Smart Technologies with its well-accepted Interactive
Whiteboards, Research in Motion with their Blackberries, ubiquitous in
government organization, NetSweeper Inc., a world leader in providing
Intelligent Internet Access Management and SMTP Anti-Virus gateway solutions,
and Allstream, the country's third largest carrier and professional services
provider.

    Korea -- KOTRA, the Korea Trade Investment Promotions Agency, a non-profit
organization dedicated to promote partnership between US and Korea, will bring
fifteen companies to the Korean Pavilion.  Exhibiting firms include MEET
Company will show a unique emergency back-up battery that uses only salt water
to activate; FOMGuard, the only intrusion detection system that provides
pinpoint accuracy of detection without false alarms tested/approved by the US
Air Force; and Seoul Standard Co's Hummerbook demonstrating a fully
submergible, rugged notebook for extreme environmental conditions, being
purchased by the US Army for the harsh conditions in Iraq.  UM Digital's
system will display several operating systems at the same time and apply
multi-language versions of the same operating system simultaneously.

    Northern Ireland -- Invest Northern Ireland, Technology and Innovation,
the economic development agency for the country, is leading a contingent of
technology firms to FOSE.  Exhibiting companies include Andor Technology,
specializing in photonics; Datactics, demonstrating database cleansing,
especially used in identifying fraud and money laundering that meets Sarbanes
Oxley rules; and Fusion Antibodies, a market leader in technology to develop
volume production of antibodies for gene research.  TextHELP provides software
that adds speech to websites for individuals with literacy and learning
difficulties.  Finisco will present software that enables companies to map IT
systems and to build in risk factors that, if not covered effectively, could
lead to IT crashes.  Core Systems specializes in access control software for
security sectors using biometrics technology.

    UK -- Seven firms from the United Kingdom will bring technology firms from
England's North West region which includes the key cities of Manchester and
Liverpool and is home to much of the U.K.'s technology innovation.  UK
innovators at FOSE include:  DMist Technologies, providing real time live
video stream enhancement in bad light and poor visibility.  Liverpool-based
Safety Software manages all aspects of any organizations health, safety and
environmental program from an internet based solution available to enabled
employees wherever they are located.  NWT-Internet has developed an advanced
Internet content filtering software solution based on artificial intelligence
to prevent access to undesirable content and excessive personal use.  Quick
Solutions is a leader in the field of high quality video surveillance, managed
remotely and operating over long distance.  Sign-Up Technologies provides a
web-based application integrating all aspects of digital data capture,
broadcast email and SMS messaging into a simple point and click process.  MPE
Limited solves high frequency interference problems for telecommunications and
military concerns.
