Burger King Corporation Appoints James McLaughlin as Vice President of Training

  McLaughlin's Appointment Validates Burger King Corporation's Commitment to
 Restaurant/Field Training and Staff Development Programs to Further Improve

    MIAMI, March 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Burger King Corporation today announced
the appointment of James McLaughlin to the position of vice president of
training, effective immediately.  Mr. McLaughlin will report directly to Jim
Hyatt, senior vice president, U.S. franchise operations.

    In his new role, McLaughlin will lead the formulation of training
policies, programs and schedules for Burger King Corporation that encompass
change and learning management, business culture alignment and performance
development.  McLaughlin will also determine future training requirements and
strategies to support business priorities related to restaurant operations.
    "Jim has successfully implemented large-scale organizational
transformations in his well-rounded career and we are excited to have him on-
board during our brand turnaround," said Jim Hyatt.
    Mr. McLaughlin brings to Burger King Corporation more than 20 years of
experience in a variety of industries, providing innovative, keen leadership
of the training, development, change management, assessment and talent
management processes for Fortune 100 companies including Kroger, Marriott and
General Electric.
    McLaughlin holds a Bachelor degree in Engineering and Industrial
Psychology from Ohio State University.  He is also a graduate of the
University of Maryland/Marriott's Executive Development Program, has a diploma
in Virtual Training and Development from Oxford Brookes University, among
others.
