Establishes RISI as Global Leader in Tissue Product News, Analysis and
Forecasting
LONDON, March 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- United Business Media Plc
(LSE:UBM) today announces that it has acquired EU Consulting for EUR375,000
from Esko Uutela. EU Consulting is a highly complementary bolt-on
acquisition for RISI, Inc, the UBM majority-owned information provider for
the global forest products industry.
EU Consulting is a Finland-based tissue product news, analysis,
forecasting and consultancy business serving the tissue, recovered paper
and consumer packaging industries. The acquisition adds EU Consulting's
publications World Tissue Business Monitor and Outlook for the World Tissue
Business to RISI's existing portfolio of tissue industry products which
currently includes Tissue Monitor and World Tissue Forecast. EU
Consulting's Outlook for Global Recovered Paper Markets will also
supplement RISI's offering for the recovered paper and fibre business.
EU Consulting's owner and founder, Esko Uutela (an industry expert with
over 30 years of experience) will continue to be actively involved in the
day-to-day activities of the publications and in RISI's tissue and
recovered paper businesses.
