Ralphs Club Members Can Win Up to $20,002

LOS ANGELES, March 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Ralphs, California's first
supermarket chain, wants to make 2002 a memorable year for many Ralphs
shoppers. Beginning March 27, Ralphs is offering its loyal shoppers an
opportunity to win up to $20,002 cash and other exciting prizes in the
Ralphs Club "2002 Great Cash Giveaway" sweepstakes.
From March 27 to April 23, Ralphs customers using their Ralphs Club Cards
when purchasing groceries will be automatically entered to win one of four
$20,002 grand prizes, 28 - $2,002 first place prizes or 2,648 pairs of movie
tickets.
The four $20,002 grand prizes will be awarded weekly, one winner per week.
In addition, 28 lucky Ralphs shoppers will win $2,002, awarded daily
throughout the four-week promotion. Plus, each Ralphs store will award a pair
of "Movie Cash" certificates to two winners each week. The certificates can
be redeemed for admission tickets, up to $10.50 each, at most major theater
companies.
In all, more than $190,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded to loyal
customers in the "2002 Great Cash Giveaway," simply for using their Ralphs
Club cards when purchasing groceries over the four-week period.

supermarkets throughout California and will be supported by radio commercials,
print ads, direct mail, and in-store point-of-sale and online support.
Shoppers using Ralphs Senior Rewards Cards will also be automatically
entered into the Ralphs Club "2002 Great Cash Giveaway."
Ralphs Club and Senior Rewards Card members enjoy savings on thousands of
items throughout the store as well as discounts on popular recreational
activities, consumer services and partner retailers. Applying for the card is
quick and easy. Applications are available at all Ralphs supermarkets.
Customers who present a completed application to a cashier will receive their
card on the spot, and the savings will begin immediately.
