1-800 CONTACTS Announces Professional Network Senior Management Appointment

(Nasdaq: CTAC), today announced the appointment of Bob Main, ABOM, FNAO as
Senior Vice President, Professional Network, responsible for the Company's
retail and referral network programs.

    Bob Main joined the Company in September 2005 to develop a brand for the
Company's national referral network and to expand this service within the
optical industry.
    Brian Bethers, President of 1-800 CONTACTS, commented, "Bob is helping us
expand our national optical provider network for contact lens exam referrals.
He has created a plan to brand our referral network as ProNet (National
Provider Network).  Our referral service and retail partnerships will report
directly to Bob, who has assembled a department to help us provide a seamless

may not have a current contact lens prescription."
    Bob is an industry veteran with over 30 years experience in various roles
within the optical industry.  Before joining 1-800 CONTACTS, Bob was the CEO
for H Rubin Vision and Laser Eye Centers based in South Carolina.  Prior to
that, Mr. Main served as a Director of Operations for a division of
Lenscrafters, and he has served as a Director of Technical Services for Eye
Care Centers of America.  He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business
Administration and a Masters in Ophthalmic Optics.  Mr. Main has been a
consultant for many private optometric practices and retail chains.  He has
lectured internationally and is a national committee member for Prevent
Blindness America and on the Advisory Education Committee for Vision Expo
International.
