RICHMOND, Va., March 28 /PRNewswire/ -- The Federal Reserve Bank of
Richmond's Community Affairs Office and Hope Community Development Corporation
of Fredericksburg, Va., are cosponsoring an economic development workshop for
development leaders in Fredericksburg, Va. Participants will receive practical
models and financing programs to use in developing affordable housing and
creating job opportunities. The workshop will be held on Tuesday, April 9, at
the Mount Hope Baptist Church located at 6823 Harrison Road in Fredericksburg,
Va.
The workshop, "Setting the Stage for Economic Development in the New
Millennium," is part of the Bank's Making Small Cities and Towns Work series.
The program provides communities with information on public/private
partnerships, resources, and innovative models that foster investment and
community development.
The day-long workshop will feature speakers from the Hope Community
Development Corporation, Virginia Housing Development Authority, Spotsylvania
County, Stafford County, City of Fredericksburg, Federal Home Loan Bank of
Atlanta, Department of Housing and Urban Development, Interfaith Housing
Corporation, Marshall Heights Community Development Corporation, Southside
Community Development and Housing Corporation, Prince George's County Economic
Development Corporation, and the U.S. House Republican Conference.
