Aladdin, Epicentric, InCert Software and ParaSoft Among Those Set

SAN JOSE, Calif., April 3 /PRNewswire/ -- CMP Media today announced that
more than 100 companies are exhibiting at SD 2001, representing a
cross-section of the most dynamic sectors of today's software development
industry. SD 2001, the industry's most progressive and comprehensive forum
dedicated to software development, has quickly established itself as the
preeminent conference hub for meaningful knowledge sharing, dialogue,
education and networking. New to the event is Web Services World, a special
concurrent conference dedicated to the education and discussion of web
services and supporting XML-based technologies and standards.
SD 2001 and Web Services World take place April 8-12, 2001 at the San Jose
Convention Center. More than 6,000 attendees are expected for the five-day

Among the exhibitors announcing and demonstrating cutting-edge

Exhibitors presenting new products at SD 2001 include:
-- Aladdin will be demonstrating two new technologies: Privilege, which
provides tools for secure licensing and web eShops, and eToken, a
"smart card" in a USB format that provides for user authentication plus
PKI encryption for eCommerce and other applications that require
highly secure communications over the Internet.
-- Everest Consultants will be announcing its further expansion in the
California market. Firms utilizing Everest's services will be able to
develop software faster and may also be able to do this development
less expensively.
-- Epicentric will launch Web Services Marketplace, a global e-business
center for the purchase, marketing, sales and support of all types of
Web services. The Web Services Marketplace offers a one-stop shop for
locating Web services with across the board functionality including
ERP, content management, search, news, email, maps and much more to
power all types of e-business initiatives.
-- HotDispatch hosts private-label marketplaces that enable technology
providers to grow their technical communities while decreasing support
costs. The company is launching a corporate services program with two
new products, Corporate Accounts and Corporate OfficeFronts, that allow
IT directors to give their staffs access to 50,000+ technical experts
worldwide.
-- ILOG will unveil a new rapid prototyping tool for building and
deploying optimization applications, including supply chain planning
and online loan configuration. The latest release adds new features
for web-enabling optimization applications, including features for Java
developers.
-- InCert Software will be demonstrating their new TraceBack for Windows,
a unique solution that helps developers maximize application
availability by providing advance warning and promoting rapid
resolution of application faults and failures in production.
-- NQL will showcase its new Network Query Language. The product
offers developers the core functionalities of NQL's powerful scripting
language, ideally suited for rapid development of bots, intelligent
agents and content management solutions.
-- ParaSoft will be previewing Jcontract and Jtest 4.0. Jcontract enables
Java developers to incorporate and test Design by Contract (DBC) rules
in Java applications. Using Jcontract in conjunction with Jtest
automates functionality testing by automatically creating test cases
according to DBC specification.
-- Patkai is debuting its Rendition product, which enables manufacturers
to deliver their dynamic sales and marketing applications directly to
target customers through online sales channels.
-- ProgramFactory will unveil ApplicationLibrary. A key component of
ProgramFactory, this product provides businesses and end users with an
opportunity to browse, test drive and evaluate both off-the-shelf and
previously-customized Microsoft Windows(TM) based applications using
only a Web browser and without having to download any files.
-- Sesame Technology will announce ExtraView Remote, a wireless service
automation solution that empowers field personnel with up-to-the-second
access to ExtraView's centralized trouble ticket database. Field
service and engineering teams may remotely view, enter, query and route
problem reports from any location. Remote personnel and management may
access other ExtraView features such as auto-assignment of problems,
dynamic email notification, and powerful query and reporting
capabilities.
-- SoftWIRE Technology will release an updated version of its graphical
programming package. SoftWIRE 2.1 simplifies application development.
SoftWIRE's ease-of-use and intuitive GUI controls enable users to
quickly create powerful applications without having to write
code -- saving valuable time and money.
-- SpeeDEV will be launching a newly developed application. Called
speeDEV, this product is the first browser-based collaborative center
for software development that seamlessly integrates issues,
requirements and tasks management.
-- TechExcel will release DevTrack 4.1, the latest version of its premiere
defect- and project-tracking tool for software development teams.
DevTrack 4.1 comprehensively tracks and manages all defects, change
requests, feature enhancements, and all other development issues.
DevTrack 4.1 also provides powerful workflow and process automation
features, robust searching and reporting, and comprehensive
point-and-click customization.
-- Tradia will be releasing its InstantXML product that transforms
existing Java, J2EE, and HTML business applications into
SOAP 1.1 compliant Web Services. It provides a complete solution for
publication of Web Services and generation of client-side access
routines, and offers interoperability with Microsoft .NET.
