OneMain Signs $10 Million Agreement with Pac-West Telecomm

Leading ISP Chooses Pac-West to Supply Local Access Ports

    STOCKTON, Calif., April 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Pac-West Telecomm, Inc.
(Nasdaq: PACW), a rapidly growing provider of integrated communications
services to Internet service providers (ISPs) and business customers in the
western U.S., today announced that OneMain.com (Nasdaq: ONEM), one of the
largest independent ISPs in the country, has signed a $10 million, multi-year
service agreement for Pac-West to provide local access ports for its dial-up
Internet service.
"We are extremely pleased that OneMain has chosen Pac-West," said Joel
Effron, Pac-West's senior vice president of sales and marketing. "Currently,
over 30 percent of the nation's largest ISPs and ISP wholesalers use Pac-West
local access numbers. Our unique SuperPOP configuration and strong regional
footprint give ISPs, such as OneMain, a presence in virtually every local
access area in California, enabling them to offer their customers reliable
access to the Internet through a local call. By aggregating their incoming
calls into our SuperPOPs, ISPs can dramatically expand their coverage, and at
the same time, reduce their equipment and maintenance costs."
Mike Read, OneMain.com's president and chief operating officer, said,
"Reaching partnerships with leading national and regional carriers, like
Pac-West, is critical to our strategy of building out a national network and
establishing a national presence. These agreements will enable us to reduce
our telecom costs as we expand our coverage area to better serve individuals
and businesses in smaller metropolitan markets and rural communities."
