Halifax Awarded $2.5 Million Contract With U.S. Department Of State

    ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Halifax Corporation
(Amex: HX) today announced that it has been awarded a one-year contract with
four one-year options to provide operations and enterprise maintenance
services for the Department of State.  The value of the contract over the
five-year period is more than $2.5 million.
    The Company has provided a variety of services to the Department of State
since 1982.
    Charles McNew, president and chief executive officer of Halifax, stated,
