SAN JOSE, April 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Hello Direct, Inc. (Nasdaq: HELO), the

interface products, today announced that Dean ("Kip") Witter III has been
named Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Witter had served as interim CFO since
February 1999.

Previously, Mr. Witter was a senior consultant with The Brenner Group,
Inc., an interim management and financial advisory services firm. From 1973
to 1998, he held various financial management positions, including Vice
President and Treasurer at Amdahl Corporation. Mr. Witter holds a B.A. from
Harvard University, and a M.B.A. from Stanford University.
