Product Ensures Network Availability for ASPs; Facilitates Online Communities
LOS ANGELES, SPRING INTERNET WORLD 2000, April 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Electric
Lightwave Inc. (Nasdaq: ELIX), a broadband integrated communications provider,
today announced nationwide availability of its Remote Systems Virtual Portal
Plus (RSVP+). This enhanced dial-up Internet access product provides companies
with a complete package of the required hardware, software and back-office
functions covering user authorization, e-mail, billing and technical support.
"Our RSVP+ service benefits medium to large businesses and affinity groups
that want to provide Internet service to their customers without the
challenges of capital costs, network management and back-office support," said

enterprises the option to outsource and brand their own cost effective,
dial-up Internet access, plus receive the added value of carrying their

RSVP+ also ensures network availability for Application Service Providers.
In this model, online financial service providers, for example, can deliver
streaming video, real-time stock quotes and any specialized content for their
customers.
Features for RSVP+ include a customized Internet server management package
that monitors and reports Internet activity; technical support 24 hours a day,
seven days a week; online queries to survey customer satisfaction and attain
testimonials; rotating banner ads; and more.
Businesses can also provide added value to their customers by offering
Internet access services. These services include unlimited dial-up Internet
access, branded launch pages, up to five e-mail accounts per dial-up user,
10 megabytes of Web space with FTP hosting and online news service.
