Corporation (NYSE: CRE) today announced that the Association of Silicon Valley
Brokers (ASVB) has awarded CarrAmerica the Silicon Valley Developer of the
Year award for 2003.

John Yandle, President of the ASVB, commented, "The Developer of the Year
award is one of the most coveted nonbroker awards given out by the ASVB. It
is determined by votes from our 573 broker members, largely based on overall
transaction experience, creativity in making a deal and organization during
the process. Christopher Peatross and Todd Hedrick, along with members of
their team, were individually singled out on many of the nomination forms."
Mr. Yandle explained that judging for the Developer of the Year award is
based upon brokers' responses to the following questions:
Which developer/owner made you feel your services were appreciated?
Which developer/owner made a transaction a good experience?
Which developer/owner supported your relationship with your client when
your client was a party other than the developer/owner?
Which developer/owner has been the easiest to deal with on fee issues?
Which developer/owner has been the most creative in dealing with your
client's unique requirements?

The Association of Silicon Valley Brokers is an organization of real
estate brokers and salespersons dedicated to the promotion of high standards
