(Nasdaq: EDBR) announced today that Lee Johnson has been named Senior Vice
President, Human Resources.
Johnson, who joined Edison in 1990, most recently served as Vice
President, Director of Stores where he was responsible for supervising,
training and recruiting store personnel for the company's 400-store JW, Coda
and Oaktree divisions. Before coming to Edison, Johnson spent four years as
District Manager for Gap Stores. He also has six years of merchandising buying
experience from Mercantile Stores and its Lion Department Store chain.
Johnson holds a bachelor's degree in communication arts/broadcasting with
a minor in psychology from Long Island University in Greenvale, NY. He
recently was elected to Mathews-Dickey Boys Club's board of directors. Johnson
replaces Eric Freesmeier, who announced that he is leaving to take a senior
management position with another company.
