announced that Ryder Brazil was honored as one of General Motors Brazil's top
suppliers with the "2004 Merit Certificate" for providing quality logistics
solutions and customer service excellence.

The Merit Certificate is awarded annually by GM to suppliers that provide
superior service and make significant contributions in key areas including
technology, value, quality and overall relationship. This award recognizes
Ryder as one of GM Brazil's top suppliers. Logistics and transportation
services provided to GM Brazil by Ryder include cross-docking, international
linehauls, and managing supply flows from predetermined suppliers with
regularly scheduled pick-up times and frequency. In addition, as part of
Ryder's ongoing commitment to quality, the Company has received ISO 9001:2000
certification at its Brazil and Argentina GM operations facilities. Ryder was
also honored with the 2003 Merit Certificate from GM Argentina for its
operations throughout Brazil and Argentina.
