VIENNA, Va., April 7 /PRNewswire/ -- GRC International (NYSE: GRH) today
announced that Michael G. Stolarik, 48, has been elected Executive Vice
President and Chief Operating Officer. In his new position, Stolarik will
report to GRCI President and CEO Gary Denman and will be responsible for all
day-to-day operations of the company.
In making the announcement, Dr. Denman said, "We are fortunate to have
someone with Mike's business growth record, technical knowledge, and industry
success fill this key position. His 23 years in the industry, including 20
years with BDM International, will be invaluable as we continue on our already

Stolarik's appointment completes the task of bringing together a new
senior management team that began last summer with Denman's assignment as the
new CEO. "With all the elements in place, I look forward to a great future

Mike Stolarik joined GRC International in February 1998 as Senior Vice
President of Strategic Planning. Over the past year, he worked across the
company to focus growth in key, strategic markets with improved business
planning and development, research and development, and acquisition planning.
From April through December of 1998, he also served as the Acting Director of
the GRCI's Decision Technologies Division (DTD), until Rick Larned was brought
on to take full-time responsibility for the division.
From 1995 to 1997, Stolarik was the President and Chief Executive Officer
of Space Applications Corp., a high-technology professional and technical
services company serving government and commercial clients throughout the
United States. Stolarik was responsible for all aspects of the company's
performance, with direct management oversight of four operational divisions
and subsidiaries, corporate business development, finance and administration,
and corporate information services. He also served on the company's board of
directors.
From 1975 to 1995, Stolarik worked for BDM International Inc., where his
last assignment was Corporate Vice President. He joined BDM as a member of the
technical staff and within three years was promoted to a department manager
position. In the course of the next 13 years he was promoted six times as he
assembled an organization that became one of BDM's five operational groups. In
the process, he led many of BDM's early efforts in the information technology
and systems integration arenas, performing in the capacity of lead business
developer, proposal manager, project manager, and, ultimately, general manager
for projects with increasing levels of scope and complexity.
Stolarik is a member of the George Washington University Virginia Campus
Advisory Board, the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association
(AFCEA), and the Security Affairs Support Association (SASA). He earned a BES
in electrical engineering from The Johns Hopkins University in 1973 and an MS
in electrical engineering from The University of Illinois in 1975.
