ATLANTA, April 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Powell, Goldstein, Frazer & Murphy LLP
has hired Veronica Curvy James as Counsel for the Public Finance practice
group within the Financial Products and Real Estate Services Department. Ms.
Curvy James will concentrate her practice in public finance.
Ms. Curvy James has extensive experience in the municipal finance area and
has represented state and local governmental agencies, underwriters, banks and
other financial institutions in a wide range of public finance transactions,
including transportation, airports, health care, higher education, housing and
industrial development financings. Her practice has focused on the issuance
of tax-exempt and taxable bonds in connection with project financings. Most
recently, she served as bond and finance director of a state government
authority in Georgia where she oversaw the issuance of infrastructure
financings in a combined total principal amount of $710.8 million.

Ms. Curvy James received her J.D. degree in 1990 from Rutgers University
School of Law and her B.S. degree from Georgetown University in 1987. In
addition to public finance, her practice also included handling of related
real estate matters, corporate finance transactions, completion of an
entertainment company's merger and acquisition, and representation of artists,
producers and entertainment companies in the music industry.
