The two firms announced that approximately 100 Kemper employees, who
manage the data center in Long Grove, will be offered employment with Siemens
Business Services to support Kemper as well as potential new clients of
Siemens Business Services.
"This is a client win and a strategic technology acquisition for Siemens
Business Services," said Robert Gault, Vice President, Strategic Outsourcing
for Siemens Business Services. "We are fortunate to be working with Kemper on
this program which fulfills numerous positive goals for both of our firms."
"We chose Siemens Business Services for its flexibility and reliability in
managing people, processes and technology," said Jack Scott, CIO of Kemper.
The 20,000-square-foot data center is housed in a raised-floor environment

deliver lower costs and higher performance for its clients.

Midwest. Parent company Siemens Corporation and its U.S. subsidiaries
currently employ approximately 4,000 people in 34 locations in the Chicago
area alone. Siemens manages air traffic communications, lighting, security,
systems, fire safety, and climate controls at O'Hare International Airport.
Siemens is also a primary provider of video surveillance equipment to the city
