DETROIT, April 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Downtown Detroit parking lots and
restaurants will soon be bustling as the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE)
heads to Cobo Center for its annual World Congress from Monday, April 11
through Thursday, April 14.
SAE, celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, is expected to bring $25
million in direct spending to the region, according to the Detroit Metro
Convention & Visitors Bureau.
Research conducted for the Bureau by C.H. Johnson Consulting found that
SAE also generates 418 jobs and $1.2 million in tax revenues for metro
