Centrify DirectControl 4.1 Extends the Industry's Broadest Support for Cross-Platform Identity Management With Microsoft Active Directory

    SAN FRANCISCO, April 7, 2008 /PRNewswire/ -- RSA Conference 2008 --
Centrify Corporation, a leading provider of Microsoft Active
Directory-centric identity management solutions for Linux, UNIX and Mac,
today announced Centrify DirectControl 4.1, which adds support for 25 more
operating system versions to raise its total to over 135 non-Microsoft
operating system versions integrated into Active Directory. These include
the latest versions of Mac OS X Leopard, VMware ESX, IBM AIX and the latest
releases from Linux distributors. This wide platform support allows
enterprises to select the optimal platform to support their application
requirements with the confidence that authentication and access control can
be administered centrally and economically from Microsoft Active Directory.

Version 4.1 also enhances Centrify DirectControl's support for web and
Java-based applications by adding clustering support, additional platform
coverage and extended cross-forest support (including one-way trust). As a
result, organizations can depend on enterprise-quality authentication,
authorization and federation support for scalable, high-availability Java
applications that are deployed in a clustered configuration.

"More than one-third of the Fortune 50 and over 400 enterprise
customers depend on Centrify DirectControl to deliver identity and access
management for UNIX, Linux and Mac systems and a wide range of web-based
applications," said Corey Williams, director of product management for
applications at Centrify. "Our latest release furthers our commitment to
providing customers the most flexibility while maintaining the best
integration with Microsoft Active Directory."

Centrify DirectControl supports IT environments administered from all
major versions of Windows Server from Windows Server 2000 onward.
DirectControl is certified for Windows 2003 and was the first identity and
access management solution certified for Windows Server 2008 (See related
news release: Centrify Delivers First Identity and Access Management
Solution Certified for Windows Server 2008). New system support added with
DirectControl 4.1 includes: Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.2; OpenSuSE 10.3; Red Hat
Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 3 for PowerPC; RHEL 4 for Itanium; RHEL 5.1, RHEL
Desktop 5.1; Red Hat Fedora 8; Scientific Linux 4.5; Ubuntu Desktop/Server
LTS 6.06 / 7.04 / 7.10; IBM AIX 6.1 and VMware ESX 3.5. Click for the
complete list of platforms supported by Centrify DirectControl.

With Centrify DirectControl, organizations with diverse IT environments
can leverage their investment in Active Directory to move to a central
directory with a single point of administration for user accounts and
security policy. They can use DirectControl's patent-pending Zone
technology to provide secure, granular access control and delegated
administration. Additional seamlessly integrated modules snap into the
DirectControl Agent to provide services such as web (e.g. BEA WebLogic, IBM
WebSphere, Apache, etc.) and database (e.g. IBM DB2, IBM Informix, etc.)
single sign-on and SAP R/3 integration. As a result, organizations increase
their efficiency, improve their security and simplify compliance with
regulatory requirements.
