ORCHARD LAKE, Mich., April 7, 2008 /PRNewswire/ -- Pine Lake Country
Club today announced that all levels of adults, as well as intermediate and
advanced juniors in the Detroit region have an immediate opportunity to
take advantage of world-class tennis instruction. Available only through
the Pine Lake Tennis House, renowned tennis instructor, author and sports
psychologist Vic Braden will offer two packages of instruction on April 12
and 13. Packages include 12 hours of instruction, cost $285 and include
lunch each day.
Braden, profiled and recognized in publications such as The New York
Times, Sports Illustrated, and Time Magazine, pioneered the use of video
analysis and feedback in tennis. Braden is recognized for his ability to
produce remarkable game improvements in short periods of time and in nearly
every facet of the game. He has written and produced more than thirty books
and videos, and served as a commentator for ESPN, NBC, PBS and CBS. Braden
is a graduate of Kalamazoo College and earned his PhD from USC.
"I know from personal experience that Vic is an amazing teacher," said
Danialle Karmanos, who serves as captain of her Pine Lake tennis team and
plays several times a week. "Vic's clinics offer a path to immediate
improvement in a non-threatening environment. I play often, and my husband
Pete (Karmanos, Jr., Chairman and CEO of Compuware Corporation) plays at
least once a week, so we appreciate this opportunity to improve our game."
For information on tennis packages, call 248-681-4511. A Saturday,
April 13 banquet featuring remarks by Braden is open to the public. Tickets
are $40 and available by calling 248-681-4511.

Professional, Pine Lake Country Club. "This visit provides a tremendous
opportunity for tennis aficionados in the region to receive
professional-level instruction from an icon in the sport. We look forward
to a dynamic weekend with Vic."
Vic Braden's visit is made possible in part by contributions from
Danialle and Peter Karmanos, Jr., as well as Danialle Karmanos' Work It
Out.
