CLEVELAND, April 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Noveon, Inc. has announced that it has
increased off-list prices an average of $.04/wet pound for all North American
Paper, Printing & Packaging, and Paint and Coatings emulsion products. This
increase includes the following product lines: Hycar(R), Carboset(R),
Carbobond(R), Carbotac(R), and Hystretch(R) acrylic and styrene-acrylic
emulsions; Vycar(R) PVC, Permax(R) PUD and Good-rite(R) SB emulsions. In
addition, Noveon has announced that it has increased both the list and off-list
prices for Algan(R) oleoresinous overprint varnishes by $.04 / wet pound. All
increases will be effective April 20, 2004 or as contracts allow.

These increases are being driven by higher costs for energy and raw
materials.
