DEARBORN, Mich., April 8 /PRNewswire/ -- The University of Michigan -
Dearborn (UMD) Society of Journalists will host a journalism forum titled
"Behind the Scenes & Beyond the Headlines," that will have a number of local
print and broadcast journalists talk about their career and field experiences
and answer student questions about the world of journalism.
Guest speakers include TV news anchor Huel Perkins (Fox 2 Detroit News),
news reporter Niraj Warikoo (Detroit Free Press), morning anchor Roberta
Jasina (WWJ Newsradio-950), sports reporter Michael Rosenberg (Detroit Free
Press), and recruiting and development editor, Joe Grimm (Detroit Free Press).
The event will take place from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April
11, 2005 at the University of Michigan - Dearborn in the Kochoff Hall at the
University Center building.
Admission is free and is open to UMD students/faculty and the general
public. Refreshments will be available during the event.
