Harris Corporation and HP join team that will provide unmatched expertise
in support of wideband satellite broadcast services
RESTON, Va., April 8, 2008 /PRNewswire/ -- Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN)
has signed exclusive teaming agreements with Harris Corporation and HP as
part of an industry-leading team to pursue the $30 million U.S. Air Force
Global Broadcast Service Satellite Broadcast Manager transition contract.
The GBS is a critical mission support system for the military providing
wideband internet protocol broadcasts of video, imagery and other
information to support forces on post, in transit and in theater. This
effort will integrate GBS into future net-centric operations across the
global information grid.

The contract, which will be awarded by the Air Force Electronic Systems
Command, Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass., will transition GBS broadcast
functionality to a centralized Defense Enterprise Computing Center and
position this system to meet the evolving needs of the warfighter.
